Update: As Anthony mentioned, the iPad release date has been pushed back after the development team found a 'game-stopper' bug. It may take 6-8 days for the new submission to make it through the App Store, which would put its release as early next week.
Together, Baldur's Gate and Diablo helped resurrect a computer role-playing genre thought dead by the late 90's. While Diablo was light on story and combined elements of classic games Gauntlet and Rogue to breath life into the action-RPG genre, Baldur's Gate took story telling to a level not seen before in computer games.
Considered one of the best RPGs of all time, Baldur's Gate is getting a makeover by Overhaul Games. Utilizing the same second edition rules of Advanced Dungeons and Dragon, the game contains numerous improvements over the original, including a much easier multiplayer system to help you hook up with friends. It also contains a brand new adventure in The Black Pits and new characters like Neera the Wild Mage.
The enhanced edition hits the App Store tomorrow, and will also be available on the PC and Mac. An Android version is planned for early next year. You can watch the game trailer on YouTube
