Check Out American Airlines' iPad Flight Bag

By March 21, 2013

Follow me on:

American Airlines is leading the charge to replace pilot manuals and diagrams with digital versions stored on the iPad. This might seem simple enough until you learn that the iPad is replacing about 30 pounds of paper. But flying won't be completely paperless. Pilots are still required to bring an old-school Quick Response Handbook (QRH), though one has to wonder if they couldn't get an even quicker response if they had a digital index and search functionality.

Gadling's Cockpict Chronicles takes you inside the cockpit and shows you how the iPad is being used. Check out the video on YouTube.

Having read this I believed it was very enlightening.
I appreciate you finding the time and energy to put this information together.
I once again find myself personally spending way too much time both reading and posting comments.
But so what, it was still worthwhile!
