What Is AppleCare?

AppleCare is the manufacturer warranty service Apple provides for its devices, such as iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, MacBook, HomePods, and more. The service comes at no extra cost for the user, but it offers only limited coverage for one year and covers only scenarios involving defective hardware or performance issues.

If a year doesn't seem like enough time, Apple provides an extended warranty service known as AppleCare+ for a one-time fee. Depending on the type of damage your device has, there may still be an additional fee. For an iPad, if the issue is due to accidental damage such as water damage or a cracked screen, you have to pay a deductible of $49 plus applicable taxes.

If you didn't buy the extended warranty and are wondee whether you should get AppleCare+ for your iPad, you have up to 60 days after the date of purchase to get the extended warranty.
