One of the coolest features of Apple's PhotoStream is how it can be used as a screensaver on Apple TV. One of the most disappointing features is how any picture taken -- even capturing a screen shot of the iPad -- is saved to the PhotoStream, which means one of the first things you need to learn how to do when turning on PhotoStream for your iPad is how to delete photos from the PhotoStream.
Luckily, Apple has made this relatively simple.
PhotoStream is simply an album within your Photos app on the iPad. While the PhotoStream may update your iPhone, Apple TV and other iOS devices, you can manage it just like any other photo album.
To delete a photo from PhotoStream, just launch the Photos app and tap the PhotoStream tab at the top of the screen. Next, select the photo you want to delete and touch the trashcan button at the top right corner of the screen. You can even delete multiple photos from the PhotoStream by tapping the share button while viewing the entire album, selecting individual pictures, and then tapping the red delete button.
Not only will this delete the photos from your iPad, it will also sync these changes with all of your other devices, so you don't need to delete the photos from each individual device that supports PhotoStream.
